ایک ہندو بنیا کچے برتنوں کا بیوپار کرتا تھا

اس نے اپنے بیٹے کو برتن سر پر رکھوا کر اپنے کسی گاہک تک پہنچانے کے لئے روانہ کیا،

تھوڑی دیر کے بعد اس کو کسی نے اطلاع دی کہ تمھارا بیٹا چوک میں گر پڑا ہے اور سارے برتن ٹوٹ چکے ہیں۔۔

بنیا نے بے فکری سے کہا،

بانئیے کا بیٹا ہے کچھ دیکھ کے ہی گرا ہو گا۔

جب بیٹا اپنے باپ کے پاس پہنچا تو باپ نے احوال پوچھا ۔۔کیا ہوا تھا ؟

بیٹے نے اردگرد نظر گھمائی ۔اور راز داری سے بتایا کہ میں نے اشرفیوں کی تھیلی بھرے بازار میں پڑی دیکھی،اگر میں اس کو اٹھاتا تو کئی لوگ دیکھ سکتے تھے،اور وہ مجھ سے تھیلی چھین لیتے،اس لئے میں نے خود کو دانستہ گرا لیا ۔اور برتن ٹوٹ گئے۔۔۔

ٹوٹے برتنوں کے ٹکڑے اکٹھے کرتے ہوئے کسی کو شک تک نہیں گزرا کہ میں نے قیمتی تھیلی بھی اٹھا لی ہے، اور

اپنی اندرونی جیب سے مال نکال اپنے باپ کے ہاتھ میں دے دیا۔۔باپ بولا میں نے تو پہلے ہی کہ دیا تھا۔۔

بنیے کا بیٹا کچھ دیکھ کر ہی گرتا ہے۔
